Balalaika is a traditional Russian musical instrument. It has only 3 strings and the shape of a triangle. It is one of the most popular Russian symbols in the world along with matreshka, banya, vodka, etc. This musical instrument is related to the domra that is Slavic national instrument that also has three strings. Balalaika became popular among Russian people in the eighteenth century. Originally, it had two strings and different shape but famous Russian musician V. Andreev that had improved it for the use in the orchestra.
