Am, is are are present forms of the auxiliary verb to be. Am is used for the first person singular (I). Are is used for plural (We, you, they). Is is used for the third person singular (he, she, it).

Negative is formed to be + not.

1 He is not my friend. 2 She is not thin and tall. 3 Ann and Bob are not Friends. 4 They are not French.

Interrogative.

1 Is he my friend? 2 Is she thin and tall? 3 Are Ann and Bob Friends? 4 Are they French?
